Brendan Lynaugh is a fiction writer and tennis instructor living in New Paltz, New York. Born in New York City and raised in suburban New Jersey, he graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1999 and Kenyon College in 2003. 

 

While earning an MFA in 2010 from the MFA at EWU in Spokane, WA, he served as a fiction editor at Willow Springs. Interviews with Richard Russo and Jess Walter have appeared in Willow Springs. His stories have appeared in Inertia Magazine, The Monongahela Review, Black Heart Magazine, Citizen Brooklyn, and Glassworks Magazine. He is working on his first novel.

Besides reading and writing, he enjoys rock-climbing and skiing. He is a long time fan of the New York Jets and Syracuse Orange. And has recently become an Everton and NY Red Bull supporter.
